Located within Oaks Hospital in north Colchester, we offer a range of Primary Care services. Welcome to health care with experienced, professional doctors who have the time for you. From general practice, health screening and medicals, to vaccinations, sexual health and travel clinics, you can be sure our discreet, personal service will give you the treatment and support you need, when you need it.

We are open to see new and registered patients. You will be screened before attendance over the phone and at the front entrance to the hospital.  We are available for same day appointments, evening appointments  open on Saturdays.

You must not attend a GP surgery or pharmacy if you have a fever and a cough or flu like symptoms. If you have symptoms of coronavirus please contact 119 by telephone to arrange a coronavirus test  or contact gov.uk. If you are feeling very ill with your symptoms you can phone 111 for advice.

Mole Screening

If you’ve got a mole that needs investigating it’s important that you don’t delay. Most suspicious moles turn out to be nothing, but if your mole is cancerous it’s important to act immediately. We can book you in to see an experienced, professional Doctor on the same day, or at your earliest convenience

Sexual Health

Discreet and confidential prevention, sexually transmitted disease testing & treatmen. Whether you’re concerned about your sexual health or in need of emergency contraception fast, Private GP Services can help you. You can choose a male or female doctor for your visit and you’ll be able to see the same GP throughout your whole treatment, giving you continuity and helping you feel more at ease.

Travel Clinic

You can choose 15 minute (£90) or 30 minute appointments (£165). 

No additional charge is made for the issue of private prescriptions or private sickness certificates if required within consultation. We are happy to complete any claim forms for referral.

No, you don't need to de-register from your NHS GP practice. You can choose to visit us for an appointment at any time. 

Our standard GP consultation times are 15 minutes, but we also offer 30 minute appointments. You can select the appointment type based on your preferences. 

Free parking is available in Oaks Hospital Car Park. You must provide your Car Registration details when you enter the building.

After her initial year as a house officer in medicine and surgery she worked for a year in paediatrics and then went on to a 2 year GP training scheme at the Royal free Hospital working in General medicine, psychiatry, emergency medicine and obstetrics and gynaecology. She then did her registrar year in General practice at a London surgery before re-locating with her family, first to Hertfordshire and finally to Colchester due to her husband’s job in 2004. Since having her first child in 1999 she has worked part-time in NHS general practice, initially in Hertfordshire and then in the Colchester area.
