Things to know
No longer given routinely in the UK at birth. Necessary for certain occupations and for those who travel frequently to countries with tuberculosis. It is recommended to new-born of parents who originate from countries with tuberculosis prevalent. If you are over 18 it is less likely to result in immunity so best to have the vaccine in childhood. A mantoux test is also available at Private GP Services for confirming immunity to tuberculosis.

Please note: You can book and pay for a vaccination appointment online (£40), but will need to pay for the price of the vaccine on the day you attend the appointment. Please provide medical records detailing prior vaccinations, or your vaccination history, in time for your consultation.
