Travel vaccination essential where water and shellfish may be contaminated with hepatitis A virus.
Things to know
A non-live vaccination. It can cause much diarrhoea and vomiting. Adults are at risk of life-threatening complications and protection for young traveller should be sought to avoid bringing tropical disease back to the UK as relatives can be affected.
Dosing Schedule
A course of two vaccinations 6 – 12 months apart. This will give 25 years coverage if the course is completed.
Price
£70 per dose for children. £75 per dose for adults.
Please note: You can book and pay for a vaccination appointment online (£40), but will need to pay for the price of the vaccine on the day you attend the appointment. Please provide medical records detailing prior vaccinations, or your vaccination history, in time for your consultation.

What a fab practice - from reception who raised my query with the GPs, arranged for me to email details through, and then to the GP (Dr Peck) calling me back the same day with a treatment plan, advice, and a prescription to collect. Real service and empathy.
